C-Ray

.. Needing any Pop Music? What about some of that smooth and hard hitting R&B? Or just maybe, you could be in the mood for some Country Rock? Christopher Ray Roberts, aka, C-Ray, has been gifted with the ear to produce and write almost any genre of music.
At the age of 13, C-Ray went through a lot of adversity during the divorce of his parents. Feeling lost and confused at times, he felt he never could really express to anyone the emotions he was going through. Loving to sing, he would start writing songs with no music, but, would memorize over and over the melodies and key that the song was in. He would perform them for his friends, which, started giving him a lot of attention as a vocalist. However, not having any music to accompany his lyrics started to really “irk” him, so, he turned to the piano. C-Ray always had a strong interest in the piano. At the age of 3, he would sit in his father’s lap and watch him play both the organ and piano. One day, C-Ray snuck out of his room and climbed to the piano bench, and attempted to play his favorite song that his Dad would always perform for him. In a matter of minutes, he was able to figure out the song without any sheet music. His ear from that point on, started quickly developing.
Currently, C-Ray is signed to WaterMusic Records/Game On Entertainment, Inc., and growing to be one of the industry’s most talented and versatile producer/songwriters. His first national release is the chart climbing, “Outta Them Clothes” Bo-Deal Ft. Andre McCray. The song has quickly started to be added to stations across the country in just a matter of couple weeks of being released. C-Ray has worked extensively with ASCAP Writer of the Year Winner and 3 time Grammy nominee Phillip “Taj” Jackson (Stargate/Water Music Publishing), Autumn Rowe (Stargate/Water Music Publishing), Phat Boiz (John Legend’s first signed production team), Tanya Lacey (RCA UK artist), Julien Thompson (writer signed to Rockwilder), Remo the Hitmaker, Toxic (Producer, 2010 ASCAP Award Winner), Adina Howard, Poli Paul (Producer, DJ Mad, and Mate Traxx.
As excited as C-Ray is, that has lit another fire under him. He has doubled the amount of work and won’t stop until he can no longer move his fingers. Music is more than just a job for C-Ray, it’s a VERY STRONG emotional passion for him. He lives through music. He wants to be unbelievably deep in every record he finishes. With that being said, he engineers, vocal produces, and also is known to be one of the best post production mixers around. When asked what drives C-Ray to continually try to improve and do new music, his reply was, “There’s always someone better.” He is, simply, determined, and will be a large force in the music industry in the future. Music is his air…He needs to breathe…And he will until he can breathe no more.
